VRP's DMSA Yeast Problems?

There were some yeast issues with chelation when we used VRP DSMA -

but our son is very sensitive to yeast overgrowth. We used it for

about 2 months and it did seem that over time that the yeast issues

were diminishing. So, it seemed that the yeast was provoked but if we

stayed on top of it it was just part of the process. I normally

treated with 3 drops GSE in diluted pear juice the 3 days of chelation

plus the next day and that would manage it and it was not really that

difficult (not like some other yeast blowouts that we have had). The

last couple of rounds I was not needing to treat yeast until the last

2 days. My son is 12 and we just completed round 11 and as I said he

was very sensitive to yeast overgrowth.

people have had problems with yeast with DMSA, ALA, no

chelation, you name it.

DMSA can fed what yeast is in the gut. We have to do a lot of anti-yeast

supplements to keep it at bay - we use cranberry and garlic. Kathy I think

people also use Yeast Control by Kirkman - it has cranberry and garlic in it.

1. GSE tastes awful, you have to mask it something

2. Pear juice as far as I am aware is low phenol (GSE is high) and pear is

less problematic for 'our' kids than many other juices/fruits

Lynette, Hi

I'm just curious about giving GSE in diluted pear juice. Actually, I don't

understand giving fruit juice when there's yeast. My understanding is that you

want to avoid all lactose, fructose, sucrose when dealing with yeast, as all

sugars feed yeast. Why do you choose diluted pear juice?
