Guest guest
Dear All, I haven't been diagnosed for sure with PSC. The reasons why my hepatologist leans towards PSC are: - blood work pointed in that direction - URSO brought the bloodwork (nearly) back in the normal ranges - on a first MRCP there seemd to be a couple of strictures (not in the main duct) - he does not know what else it could be The factors that are less clear for the PSC diagnosis: - I am (still) blessed to be without an IBD (at least that is what came out of a colonoscopy) - A liver biopt a couple of years ago did show only minor a-specific artifacts. On a last ultrasound that was done, I saw on the report that the evaluating doctor was not sure if the area where they saw something before was a duct dilatation or a cyst. Does anyone know if the formation of cysts might be associated with PSC? This momday I am having my second MRCP. I am thinking of bringing a copy of the NIH conference video file on a DVD, so in case the radiologist is interested she could watch maybe Ann Fulcher's presentation about diagnosing of PSC with MRCP. However, I do not seem to be able to download the movie file to my computer. Does anyone have some tips on how to do this (when I right click and 'save target as', it only saves a couple of bytes)?
