My doctor said that the medical tape should only be used around the

very edges where the adhesive is only. That didn't hold for me but

these covers are obviously ok to use over the entire patch.

Well they said since could not be sure if was the Duragesic itself, orthe covers suggested go off the Duragesic and would not send me anymore ofthe covers for patches!!!! So now have to buy them where get meds. Hi JoAnn,Occasionally I have trouble with the patches sticking. I have found a VERY effective and inexpensive way of keeping them on when they don't stick well, just use regular medical adhesive tape over it, (the white kind you can find at the drug store). Usually it is hypoallergenic too. Take one or two strips and tape it on. I asked my doc if this was OK and he said no problem, it would not interfere with the medication. Hope this helps, Take care, Love Jai

Tonia,

Have you tried the clear adhesive bandage that the hospitals use to

cover the IV site? This is what the Duragesic people sent me to use

for helping their patch stick and it is working great for me. They

are made by & and called Transparent Dressing... The

size is 4 in. by 5 in.
