If so, which low fat cheese brands do you recommend? Since my surgery, I look to dairy for my secondary protein (lean meats, fish and eggs are primary) and calcium. For the most part, I've been eating regular cheese, but searching for the perfect low fat cheese. Well, I believe I've found one that tastes good, melts well, and quite frankly, resembles actual cheese. It is Cabot 50% light Cheddar. I'm not sure on the specific stats...but this stuff melts when baked, microwaved, etc. I highly recommend it.
