Guest guest
Oh my gosh Tia! No need to apologize. Here in English land we try to read between the lines when someone with English as a second language writes. Please do not feel ashamed that you do not understand. Write us and let us know. Things like * and ~ and <> and ^ are done for other reasons, not English ... more like universal computer language. Just one example would be that sometimes I do this: <ggg> That means grinning. or *sure* That would mean not really sure, sort of a spoof. Thinking of it ... it must be super hard for you and others that take English and we throw stuff in that in and mix you all up! Again... Just ask and we, I am sure, will be glad to help you out. Guest guest
Hi everybody If you are reading this message, I would like to apologize to all of you, for my poor English, since I am Greek and sometimes what I want to say isn't correctly written in English. After posted to me, I understood that I wasn't so clear with my first post (muscle spasms), in this list. Next time, I'll try to be careful, be precise and hope that you will all understand my poor writing! I try to read all the messages to be able to know all of you and to understand how this system works. Sometimes, I confess, I don't fully understand some codes for example…( * ) as Moon aka TJ wrote in her post to me and some other words that I never learned in the English School, here in Greece. Don't worry, I have a degree in English, so it is not that difficult for me but even so, English isn't my mother language. I also want to tell Caro, B., and Moon aka TJ, who have answered to my post, big thanks and that I will answer back to all of you a.s.a.p. and much clearer this time! Happy Holidays to all out there and a happy PAINFREE……New Year! Filaretia or Tia
Guest guest
No need for apologies here! We all misunderstand at some point or another - even when we DO speak english! LOL!! Love Lana
Guest guest
I would like to apologize to all of you, for my poor English, since I am Greek A couple of others have already told you that no apologies are necessary. Believe, none are. Also, do NOT, EVER hesitate to ask what some of the silly little abreviations and symbols mean (lol, etc). You are not the only one who doesn't always know what they mean. When I run into one, I just cheat and ask my daughter off- list what it means. More importantly, a lot of the posts use very detailed, very technical, medical and/or anatomical language or references. Not everyone on the list is always going to fully understand what they mean. Those of us who are guilty of using the technical terms expect to have to clarify things from time to time. We don't always put full explanations in the posts because many of the posts are pretty long as is and full definitions and explanations would just compound the problem. So,again, do not ever hesitate to ask for a clarification. The purpose of this list is to share information and act as a support group. Welcome to the group. Guest guest
No need to apologize- but I am wondering what I put as (* ) now- some of habitual computer addicts do abbreviations and such so often that we tend to not realize the difference- so accept our apologies as well. Actually, I took online college courses and because it was on a computer- our shorthand lesson was basically abbreviations and such- so Im packed with approximately 3500 or more abbreviations and I have noticed in my paltalk music room- I tend to do them without even realizing it- until someone asks what it means then it hits me that I abbreviated like - lshict which is laughing so hard I can't type..... So- please - if I do this - don't be afraid to ask me what I mean- because as I stated- most times I don't even realize I've done it..... Your English is fine!! Time for me to leave for court- wouldnt you know that I was up the entire night...... ugh........ but is that not how it usually goes when emotional disturbance happens? Pain level seems to heighten.......... Take Care all and will try to post the results of the court session a.s.a.p. Hugs and Hopefully a Nice Day to you All ! TJ aka Moon aka is also known as by the way lol see I did it again ha! Guest guest
Hi . is it Mike? So.... I am not the only one! And I'm not as laky as you are. (no kids). But anyway there are no words for the support you gave me! By the way, anatomical language is fine with me as I am a P.T., a Fitness Testing Specialist and a student in Sport Science, and of course. Greek (a good number of medical and anatomical words have Greek roots), but computer language. forget it!!!!!!! It will take time and probably patience from all of you. Thank you from my hart.
