Dear Friends,

The following is a cut and paste of an E-mail I sent to the " unknown "

author of dubiously written editorials we've been seeing and hearing

about.

I encourage you to let her and anyone else trying to manipulate the

public against our children to have a piece of your mind.

Friends the best way to defeat this type of blindness is to put a

face on the issues. Perhaps send a scan of your child(ren's) best

picture if you can.

To:Kim.Strassel@...

Dear Ms. Strassel,

The Senators you are trying to smear and isolate with your words are

heroes to the families of autistic children because they obviously

understand the issue of mercury far better than you do. They know the

cost of recovering a thimerisol-injured child is staggering, they

know that families are mortgaging their homes to provide the best

therapy they can, and they know that these children aren't simply the

products of a far too often presumed and very realistically dubbed by

science as mythical... " epidemic of genetics " .

No matter how hard you try you will never cite a single instance in

human history where genetics alone suddenly does us all in. Give it

up, you will fail.

Moreover, those " stumbling blocks " as you and your editors would have

it simply knew the right thing to do when they saw it and are

completely sensitive to the fact that in far too many cases the

rights of American's autistic children and adults will suffer unless

somebody stands up. I thank them all for sticking up for us even

though they have no idea who I am! Does it sicken you to know that a

handful of rag-tag parents blocked the passage of perhaps the largest

corporate give-away there's been in the history of a democratic

society? And isn't your concerted effort against our children really

just a vehicle for Senator Frist to pout out loud because the rich

boy can't have his way and he's failed his big daddy back in

Tennessee?

Over the past four years I mourn because I have seen the

compassionate nation that the great President Reagan referred

to as the " shining city upon the hill for all to see " turn into to a

nation with leaders that occasionally find the need to duck into

their underground bunkers only to re-emerge to serve the interests of

none other than big business and particularly the largest lobby

across America the drug manufacturers. Thrice that I know of, and

perhaps more than that, Senator Bill Frist, the multi-million dollar

heir of Columbia Healthcare - the 300-strong chain of Hospitals his

father owns...the same company that in recent years have had their

doors kicked in when they refused to cooperate with Federal

investigators and were caught red-handed shredding evidence of

Medicaid/Medicare fraud, at the request of his real masters has tried

to reintroduce protection for Eli Lily. When our forefathers came up

with the motto E Pluribus Unum I doubt that they had a mega-corporate

merger in mind. We are a nation of individuals and it's a fool's

logic to think that it's easier to listen to a business than to the

people the business is suppose to benefit. I mourn because America is

my country and now it's not too hard to understand why Our Lord Jesus

Christ turned over the money-changer's tables in the temple.

It is intriguing as to why is civil litigation such a horrible thing

in your mind and in the minds of Senator Frist and President Bush?

Didn't the sitting President use the court system when he felt he was

slighted and unjustly wronged? And why do all the corporate think-

tanks think that we are mindless pods willing to accept any measly

socialistic program that Senator Frist and his partnership companies

will invent at taxpayer expense to fill the absence of proper

adjudication in the matter of our mercury-damaged children? That

thought is quite frivolous.

After all, according to Gilmartin, the president and chief

executive officer of pharmaceutical giant Merck, who happens to know

a lot about the vaccine market is quoted to say that the " government

was basically unwilling to provide a price that made the risk

worthwhile " . I think you have just had the scales removed from your

eyes and understand that Mr. Gilmartin is far from worried about

vaccine injury. He already KNOWS that those teeny tiny little

vaccines will hurt and kill his fellow citizens...as Judas forsook

his thirty pieces of silver deal the vaccine market simply has the

foresight to know it isn't happy with the price the government

offers.

I for one am far too conservative to see yet another government-run

money-pit develop to quietly move away from the mercury issue.

Mercury in OUR environment harms all of us. My son and thousands of

children like him WILL have our day in court and this is

Constitutionally set in stone.

Dr. Frist WILL learn that If there is something wrong with vaccines

you stop pushing them on people and get back to the only

scientifically-proven method of disease prevention...sanitation.

" Perhaps the greatest evil of immunization lies in its diversion of

public attention from true methods of disease prevention. It

encourages public authorities to permit all kinds of sanitary defects

and social problems to remain undressed, particularly in schools. It

ignores the part played by food and sunlight and many other factors

in the maintenance of health. It exaggerates the risk of diphtheria

and works upon the fear of parents. The more it is supported by

public authorities, the more will its dangers and disadvantages be

concealed or denied. " M. Meadow Bayly, M.R.C.S., 1944

It seems to me that when Congress repealed the Frist Rider to

Homeland Security that provided vaccination against product liability

to Eli Lily it's the People of The United States of America that has

spoken out against the drug lobby. Unless you care to call the

majority of U.S. Legislators a bunch of " frivolous " law makers I

guess you had better start researching the truth about mercury in OUR

air and the mercury that is injected into our bodies. Why not tar and

feather Republican Representative Dan Burton of Indiana as well? I

see him as our hero, too.

So anyway, please stop hurting our children's chances of their day in

court, OK? What you are doing is a sick act of terrorism to us and

you better cool it. I know all about collusion and to me you are red

hot. Our son's lawyer is an honest guy and we like him very much. And

don't forget that we are talking about hundreds of thousands of

school children and adults hurt by the people you are selectively

defending. You are a manipulated nothing to our children as long as

you fail to put their human faces on this matter. I never read the

Wall Street Journal and probably doubt it's relevance in my life even

more today than before it began to offer itself as a willing

propaganda machine by politicizing a private matter between parents

of children who face our own September 11th, 2001 every day as if

it's Groundhog day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Our Children First!
