Well, I wouldn't get too upset about it. Most intelligent six year olds know there is a Santa Claus even if Grant says there is not, don't you know? When I told my son that I was the tooth fairy, he looked right at me and said, " you are not, no you're not! " He thought I was the tooth fairy for everyone, LOL!!!!!!! So therefore I was lying about being the tooth fairy.............I love kids, they think and say the funniest things. Hugs, Sue
Guest guest
From: Jill Subject: OT: School Grief - lol teacher called me today and blasted me about the fact that he stood in line at recess time and announced that there is no Santa Clause. Jill Jill, I'm sure there is at least one child every year, that spills the beans at that age. I'm surprised the teacher was so mad. I'm sure Grant was just trying to show how smart he was! ;~) But the poor teacher was stuck with all those little faces looking for the " truth " You just have a little boy that was trying to be helpful and give everybody the facts, Hey,.... just like his momma! .C
Guest guest
Ha ha ha! Thanks for that giggle Jill :-D I'd just let it blow over. The parents of the kids can sort it out themselves lol. Don't feel too bad. When I was in grd 1 for show and tell I stood up and announced there is no tooth fairy LoL Poor substitute teacher we had that day didn't know what to do LoL. :-D Take care!!! -Rhea
Guest guest
lol, well he plans to return to class tomorrow and apologize to all involved. We had a chat about it all. It's sort of sad that he figured this one out but really, the teacher is over-reacting just a tad. I don't think it's her job to make sure that their imaginary rituals are being maintained at the school - there's lots of talk about so many things on the schoolyard! Surely there's something else she could be doing? Jill

She STILL believes in Santa Claus and was crushed to hear it from a 6 year old that there IS no Santa!!!!! <wiggles eyebrows> Bonnie
Guest guest
What are they worried about, I mean this was a 6 yr old, surely the whole school doesn't simply believe it is completely true because he said so, I mean the more of a big deal they make about it, the more likely the other kis are to believe it is true. Like other said I am sure that this happens every year to some degree. I would do nothing about it, it is infact up to the parents and not the students or school to decide what to tell there kids when they get home with tthis NEW information.
