Guest guest
Well since I have no responce to this, I have to guess no one has had this knee problem. If you don't know what it is, from what I understand from reading, it means the cartilege has worn away between the upper and lower leg bones on the inner side of the joint. It is part of arthritis and can be caused by a miniscis injury. I hade hoped to get some feedback from you guys, but I know that sometimes new stuff comes up here that others haven't dealt with. I guess we'll find out more from the MRI. C > Hi all, Dylans' knee Xrays showed narrow medial compartment. Well, I looked it up, looks kinda bad for just being a kid. Any body been repaired for this? MRI in a week. I'm narrowing the Drs list I want to take him to now, but insurance is fighting me every step. C. > > >

There are several different lymph drainage methods; I just happen to think that LDT is the most effective of the lot. At any rate, the protocol for doing it is fairly easy to learn. It is also something that he would able to do on himself once he learned how. I am a big fan of LDT whenever inflammation is involved. Quite frankly, I can drop the swelling from a sprained ankle/wrist/etc faster with my hands doing LDT than you can by applying ice packs. It also helps lessen any attendent pain. Guest guest
Sorry I can't be of much help to you btu it sounds like Medial OA to me and I have some friends with this complaint and they found that unloader knee braces help (they do NOT have EDS) as it takes the load off of the side with no or little cartliage. I have had menical damage on the medial side as well as having an 8 mm hole in my articulr cartliage (as well as an osteochondral fracture there), have had my ACL reconstructed (replaced) twice using my knee's middle 1/3rd patella tendon as well as the hamstring tendon (and have for a 3rd time stretched or ripped out or torn the ligament) and this time (I didn't know about my EDS or EDS at all then) they don't want to try a 3rd reconstruction as they think (they being the OS's) that any graft using me as the host will result in a graft that will only last 4 yrs at best (my best length so far). OOPS soory I got off track. Good Luck for the MRI and sorry I couldn't be of further help.
