Guest guest
. Yes I myself as well as some family members have had a problem with boils. Its a type of a staph infection and is methicillin-resistant, (MRSA) Our immune system usually takes care of things like that. Treat it with 91% Isopropyl alcohol as soon as it appears. As many times as you can .This should dry it up before it gets too big. I know they are very painful. DO NOT let it burst, or try to contain it by using gauze. It spreads the bacteria. My older son who is not autistic had one on his side and was given stron antibiotic shots. Wash linens often and place a plastic cover over the mattress and spray clean it with Chlorine bleach/H2O solution. Wash hands often. Its very hard to get rid of. This was what my Infectious Disease doctor suggested. The fever worries me only because of things I've read about Toxic shock. You might want to take your son to one also. He may need antibiotics. They are always under his arms or in his groin area. The always burst themselves and go away. Usually they leave a scar and are quite uncomfortable for him. Also, He gets a fever and has some regression with them. Any info???
