Guest guest
Well said ! And good luck with the PSC Conference at UC this saturday! I wish I was able to attend, but unfortunately can't. However, I look foreward to hearing your synopsis of the conference sometime in the near future. Take care, and Happy New Year! Guest guest
A few weeks ago I talked to a woman named Barbara who has had PBC for about 30 years and had a transplant a few years ago. She told me that no matter how sick she is she keeps attending meetings and doing fundraisers. She gave me a swift kick in the behind and insisted that I work to organize PSCers and raise money, not for myself but for future generations.Dear ,It sounds like I would like this Barbara were I to meet her. I agree that we are in this to hopefully help ourselves and to change the future for our youngest members .As the fundraiser around here, I would be remiss if I didn't take this chance to plug our fundraisers for PSC Partners Seeking a Cure.First, we have two easy, free ways that you can help us raise money. One is with AAA environment , just recycle your old ink cartridges and cell phones. This is bringing in good results to Partners and to mother Earth !Just call 1-866332-2234 and tell them that you want the mailers registered to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure. Then hand them out to everyone you know who uses a printer! The other is to get a Kroger gift card and keep reloading it to pay for groceries. Krogers donates 5% each time you refill it. This helps us a lot and again it is free to you, the money comes from Kroger. The card must be registered to us and so you need to contact me at ldbria@... if you want a PSC Partners Gift card. Below is a list of the different stores that the card is accepted at. I know that a couple are in CA.We also are just rolling out our first annual Virtual Walk and Tee shirt signing. Just because we need to fundraise doesn't mean that we can't have fun raising !You can register for your shirt and kit now at:The link to register is:http://www.pscpartners.org/VirtualWalk.pdfRegistration is $20.00 and you get the tee shirt, black permanent marker, directions, signature sheets and a return envelope. Then you ask everyone you know to sign your shirt for whatever donation they want to make. We hope to show all our signed shirts at the conference in April as a real morale booster and to have some fun raising money and gathering signatures.Lastly, if you have any ideas for future fundraising, please contact me and we can see if it is something that we can do together.Together in the fight , whatever it takes.Lee
