I thought there were NO approved fruits on phase 1. Am I wrong about

that?

kind of...you can eat regular dressing as long as it has less than

14g of fat and 3g of sugar.

No, you are correct -- fruits are not approved for phase 1.

Well, except for tomatoes and those are legally vegetables, although they're

scientifically fruits.... <Grin>

What do you normally eat with your chicken that fills you?

If you never let yourself get hungry, and if you eat all the snacks

in between meals, and if you totally avoid " white foods, " you won't

get hungry. If you do that, the meals and snacks will keep you full.

This isn't a low calorie diet, so eat as much chicken or turkey and

veggies as it takes for you to get full at a meal.

I am so full on this diet. I had broccoli quiche for breakfast and

am sitting here eating deviled eggs as a snack, and for lunch I will

have leftover chicken breast baked with lowfat cheese on it, plus

leftover veggies and a salad. Then another protein snack, and dinner

and then an after-dinner protein snack.

If you skip snacks and meals, you will get ravenous and that is when

people eat poorly.

After not even two weeks without any sugar or white foods, and wish

filling myself up with protein snacks and meals, my cravings are

already gone. That is the key to losing the cravings, to cut out the

bad carbs and to avoid getting hungry.

> That is how I always cook my chicken! I love my Forman grill. I

just don't see how that meal will satisfy me. That is what I keep

telling my friend. This diet will take a lot of willpower on my

end. My cravings continue on regardless how much I eat. I never

seem to feel satisfied.

You can't have rice cakes, even on phase 2. They are too high on the

glycemic scale. But on phase 2, you can have Wasa Rye Crisp crackers

and whole grain bread. You have to start out with one serving a day

of grains.

morning. But now I need to switch to plain yougrurt (yuck). I will

just eat the cottage cheese plain. I used to eat several plain rice

cakes with the CC but I guess that is out now too..............boo

hoo...........dang, this is going to be a rough two weeks.

I didn't know we could have Triscuits. I can't eat them anyway,

because of my wheat allergy. But, I used to love them.

ann

<

> Don't forget Triscuits...mmmmm. , when I was vomiting last

week, all I could keep down was this wonderful cream of portabella

mushroom soup from Wild Oats with some crunched up Triscuits in

there.
