Guest guest
It is quite scary to say the least. My father never made it out of the hospital after his leg was amputated. Not because of that infection, which cleared after the amputation, but later he got blood poisoning from his catheter. He wasn't getting the top notch care he should have been getting. My mom came to check on him and he felt hot. His diaper needed to be changed, and she couldn't find a nurse to help. This was an interim care facility that he was staying in prior to going to a very, very nice nursing home. I didn't care for the staff much. At the time my dad was 82, and my mom, who is little like me, couldn't care for him. Plus, she was 72, and too frail. Anyhow, when she changed his diaper she discovered the infection. He died 15 days later from sepsis. It was awful. I couldn't bring my 6 week old daughter to see him, and we literally watched him slip away. The antibiotics didn't work. He died on Easter Sunday, which others thought was tragic, but I didn't. He was a very devout Catholic, and it was fitting for him. Plus, he had suffered horribly for 8 months and we couldn't bare to see him suffer any longer. He was 6'2 " and weighed less than me when he died. I think he weighed about 110 lbs. I will definitely say a prayer for her...... My Dad was pretty frail and rebounded from the MRSA, so don't loose hope. a --- " crazeladyshopper " <crazeladyshopper@...> wrote: Thanks so much for the kind words. The ironic thing is I think this all started with a foot injury too. She broke her foot back in January and has been sick ever since. She has open wounds near her under arm and thats where the infection is showing. I am scared for her. Please pray all you can for her. If I had a serious infection that was not clearing up using other treatments, this would be something I would consider. A medical ozone machine costs in the neighborhood of $1500 to $2500. There is a general FAQ you can read here: http://www.oxytherapy.com/faq/ozone.html You can ask me questions privately or on the list, if you wish. I can direct you to further resoureces if you wish. best, Moria
