HI- i NEED HELP QUICK!!! i HAVE 3 pin head sized holes(cracks, I guess) in

my right breast.Boy do they hurt!!What is the best thing to put on them?I've

been treating for thrush with gentian violet.I think the thrush is gone,

but these cracks hurt.I need something to heal them asap!!!!Any help will be

appreciated!Thanks- Carolyn

Not to mention that it's great for greasing french horn slides (seriously!)

Back 17 yrs ago when you couldn't by lansinoh in the stores, I used my

french horn lanolin for my nipples. We were inventive back in the old day

(and yes I did walk to school for 10 miles in knee deep snow <g>)

lanolin!!! That is what works for me! Jenn

I just got over the same type thing and I used pure lanolin cream, it's like

really thick vaseline and it works great. I put it on right after I nursed

on the cracked nipple. The nice thing about it is you don't have to wash it

off before you nurse, its perfectly safe. Just make sure if you do use it

that you wear breast pads because it stains. If you ar'nt able to get any

right away just use plain old vaseline, very liberally, with the lanolin

too. Good luck to you, I can certainly sympathize.

Lansinoh for breastfeeding mothers is the best for moist wound healing. It is

pure lanolin.

I would have to suggest that you don't use vaseline. It does need to be washed

off and can help to encourage yeast growth.

agreed, but as long as she is does wash it off and keep breasts clean it

would provide some relief untill she can get some lanolin.
