Guest guest
I just had to share with all of our first week on SCD. First, I have seen die off for the first time ever! Although the reactions are negative (fit throwing and crying) I know this is a good sign. (Epsom salts are our friend!) In one week Jaden has repeated the " p " sound for his speech therapist, said " nana " for banana, and last night he actually sat and wanted us to take his picture! He is so much more aware of his world! CARROTS!!! I steamed and pureed carrots with a bit of honey, then froze them in popcicle molds. He LOVED them!!!! Yeah!!!! Thanks for all your help this tough week! Mom to Jaden 2yrs 10 months, ASD non-verbal 1 week SCD
Guest guest
Great news. Are you using the ATEC to track progress across the board? Its a neat thing to do maybe once a month. Now that I say that, I need to do one now! www.autism.com/atec Marla I just had to share with all of our first week on SCD.

I am generally an active and outgoing person with a good appetite. I developed a terrible reaction to the yogurt and cheese which both normally agree with me. (this is probably just temporary) I just wanted to lie in bed curled up in a ball and did not want to talk to anyone. So if a child had digestive problems or die off it is no small wonder they exhibit a full spectrum of negative behaviors and apparent distress. Carol F.
