Hi Caroline ...

I think she bought it at Walmart because that's our usual shopping

place, lol! It's a " Homedic " machine and I have seen them priced from

$15 - $25. Before I got the machine I was thinking of getting one of

those CD's with the sound stuff of the ocean or rain but I didn't

have a CD player in the bedroom so I was procrastinating. I guess it

was meant to be because my daughter came to my rescue ... she knows

me too well! ;) The machine does have a nice ocean sound with

rolling waves and you can hear the sea birds every now and then in

the background. I tried it but I'm hooked on the rain noise!

You made me laugh about the fountain and I can see where it would

keep you running back and forth to the bathroom. I had one of those

little portable fountains that we used to keep outside where we sit

to drink our coffee and had to turn the dang thing off because we

couldn't sit still long enough to enjoy our coffee! I think the rain

machine is a subconcious thing too but I don't care. lol! It works

and that's all that matters.

It seems that you and I share the same dream. I was born in Florida

and lived in the Keys on a houseboat when I was a younger (decades

ago) and I would love to live on one now. Never hurts to dream!!

hugs, luny

have a fountain, which I love, it's made to dispense aromatherapy

oils into the air as well as look and sound beautiful, HOWEVER....I

can't sleep with it on. It makes me get up and pee about a half dozen

times at night. I know it's a subconcious thing, it doesn't do that

to me during the day, but nonetheless, I don't usually wake up even

once during the night when it's not running. <<<

for me now even if I could afford to do so. At least with the machine

or a good CD I could dream about it most nights.<<<
