Guest guest
, I agree with what Barbara says that suicide devastates those left behind. I had a good friend whose Mother committed suicide and it took her forever to be able to accept it and not feel that since her mother did that will she some day. Please don't let those thoughts take hold, just do what Barbara and I do, I have that thought pass through me to at times, but I just let it go. I will be praying for you, Lin Not at this point, , but I reserve my right to change impulses if the urge arises. Suicide doesn't make just life go away, it takes away all hope of positive change and destroys the lives of everyone left in its wake. I could never do that the the people who I love and who love me. Even though there have been times when the thought has crossed my mind, I recognize the thought for what it is....just a thought that has no power... and move past it. Guest guest
, With the encouragement I have here, and knowing you guys can do it, makes me believe that I can do it too. If I start feeling that way, I'll get on here so I can have your reinforcement. Satan can never take me away from God, but he sure wants to render me useless.Love, N. wrote: , I agree with what Barbara says that suicide devastates those left behind. Guest guest
Suicidal thoughts, even when just fleeting ones, are scary to have, scary to share with others, and even scary sometimes to hear others talk about. I hope that my bringing up the issue in response to 's question wasn't too difficult for others. It's important, I think, for folks to know that they are not alone as they try to grapple with day-to-day pain and loss that accompanies disability. Hopefully, we can all find ways to share the emotional as well as the physical impact of this disease.
