Guest guest
OK how is this for an evening. I am submitting some of my photos in this student show, which is due on tuesday. I just found out about it a week ago. So I have been scrambling to get some good prints together to submit. Actually I have been working my bu....tt off! Well, the darkroom is only open Wed. eve., sat. and sun. for 4 hours. So all day Sat., Sun I was there making prints. Well we are away for the weekend so that left tonight. I have 5 prints already toned, matted and awaiting framing (I do all this myself), but we can submit up to 10. The competition is tough. These are students who have had their own shows and been doing photography for years. Along, with beginners. Well I think the prints I have are good. In fact two are great! In my opinion of course. Anyway, here it is Wed. my last chance to get more prints. And here the story begins. My car is in the shop. They are not sure what is wrong with it so it is staying there. That leaves one car. with 3 kids needing to go here there and everywhere. So I work out the logistics to make it work and get dropped at the darkroom. I go in 1 hour early to wait so I can get my (favorite) enlarger, It is first come first serve. I get it and start to work. Then about 1/2 hr later After all but 1 machine is taken, I notice I keep getting water on me. Well there's a leak in the ceiling, over only my enlarger. So I have to move to one that I have never used before. Well I could not get a print to work right so .....frustrated called home for a ride, No one is home! So here I am stuck. Finally I called my 20 year old to get me. Hmmmm now it may not sound like much, but I really want to place in this competition. So here I am, sitting at home. But have not reached for the food! Yeah! Sooo, which me LucK! Sorry for the soooo long story! (can you tell I'm a little nervous!) ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
