Guest guest
Hi...To answer your question about UU's and pregnancy, my situation was completely different than most. My doctor did not know about my UU until our son was delivered via c-section at 35 weeks, when I suddenly developed severe pre-eclampsia. But, I didn't have an ultrasound until I was about 18 weeks as well. But, I made it 35 weeks without any problems and was healthy my entire pregnancy other than my blood pressure sky-rocketing. Hope this helps and congratulations. Kellie Mommy to Noah Cole 7 months today
Guest guest
Hi all, I had my intake visit at the ob/gyn office yesterday and was surprised to hear that I won't have another ultrasound until about 18weeks. So I wanted to know what extra care you UU mom's out there had during your pregnancies. I don't want to take the chance that we will miss something. So far so good - things are fine with this pregnancy. No spotting - no morning sickness - almost couldn't tell I was pregnant except for the two u/s I have had from the RE (6 1/2 and 8 1/2 weeks) and of course no AF. Thanks for your help Ann 9weeks today UU
Guest guest
Hi Ann. My name is Musie and I am also a UU currently 29 weeks 5 days pregnant. That sounds about right. They really started monitoring me every two weeks starting 18weeks. I had a level two ultrasound because I did IVF icsi. I go for biweekly ultrasound for a cervix( it looks good so far). They are also now checking to make sure the baby is getting enough blood flow. So basically they really start doing intensive checking towards the end. So far I have not had any problem( Thank God). Good luck to you and stay positive, it will be here before you know it. I can't believe I am almost 30weeks. Guest guest
Hi Ann-Congratulations on your pregnancy! I didn't have any morning sickeness, either! I guess it only seems fair...we deserve a break somewhere in all of this!! I'm glad to hear that you are feeling so well! I saw both a peri and my OB throughout this pregnancy. I did have several early u/s because of some spotting, but the UU " stuff " started a little bit later. I saw my peri starting at 15 weeks. He did a level II u/s to measure cervical length every 2-3 weeks until around 32 weeks when he sent me on my way. Best wishes for a healthy and uneventful pregnancy! uu, 28 almost 37 weeks > Hi all, > > I had my intake visit at the ob/gyn office yesterday and was > surprised to hear that I won't have another ultrasound until about > 18weeks. > > So I wanted to know what extra care you UU mom's out there had during > your pregnancies. Guest guest
Musie, You got preg. with IVF # 1. That's great!!! I just started my Lupron last night and we are guessing around Sept. 22nd is when everything will be ready. I was wondering how likely it was to get preg the first time so it is really good to hear about those who did get preg on the 1st cycle. Any info would be helpful. Oh by the way did you have to get you Lupron shots in your thigh or arm? That's where I was told I would need to have the shots. Dwaylah UU ttc# 3-1/2 years. Guest guest
Hello Dwalay, Just got your message. We went to see the movie Swat. It was pretty good. First of all, I want to wish you all the best with this cycle and yes it can happen on the first try. I pray it happens for you. From I was told by the Doc. Putting two embryo back was risky due to my UU which was fine with me. The quality does matter. My doc put back an excellent embryo ( blast). At this stage , it has more than a 100 cells. It also increases your chance to get pregnant. I preferred Lupron in my thighs. It was just much easier for us. My husband give me the shot, I couldn't do it my self. Please let me know if I can help with anything. Ann, I had u/s monitoring at 4, 6, 11, 18, 22, and 34 weeks. The 4 and 6 week u/s were to check viability and the 11 week u/s was a baseline measurement of my cervix, to see what it looked like before the baby got large enough to really put pressure on my cervix. If they've done that already, I wouldn't worry about waiting until 18 weeks for the next u/s. My RE suggested being watched carefully between 16-24 weeks for IC, when it is most likely to occur, so I was seen every other week from then on. Congrats on making it to 9 weeks! Watch your cervix be wary of contractions. I am glad you doing so well...not far to go til you reach the 12 week landmark! Smiles,
Guest guest
Hi Ann - I am 27w1d pregnant with a UU. I am seeing a high-risk OB who has a lot of experience with all types of uterine abnormalities. I had my first U/S at 6 weeks and this was just to make sure the pregnancy implanted in the right spot. I didn't even go in to see the doctor until 12 weeks, at which point I had a manual exam. Starting at 12 weeks, I will see my doctor every other week until I hit 36 weeks, at which point I go in every week. I had another U/S at 14 weeks and this was to look for chromosomal abormalities. At 19 weeks, I had the big U/S that everyone gets to look at organs, blood flow, bone structure, etc. Starting at 27 weeks, every other doctor visit (so, every four weeks), I will have an U/S. On the doctor visits without an U/S, I will have a manual exam to check cervix, etc. > Hi all, > > I had my intake visit at the ob/gyn office yesterday and was > surprised to hear that I won't have another ultrasound until about > 18weeks. > > So I wanted to know what extra care you UU mom's out there had during > your pregnancies.
