Guest guest
Michele, Tooth colored filling may be composite or porcelain. She should ask the dentist for the brand name of the filling material. While nursing it's ill-advised to remove mercury amalgam fillings, since doing so exposes the mother and hence the baby to mercury. I don't know about the seal, seems it might decrease the exposure somewhat until you could have the fillings replaced with mercury-free. Is it a
composite? What are the best alternatives to amalgams?

I have a few old amalgams & one is bothering me. I'm going to my natural
dentist in Feb. Guest guest
I just had my breast milk tested for heavy metals through doctor's Data labs. My breast milk contained 10 times the recommended daily amount of mercury. The only source for the mercury in my breast milk is my five amalgams. So I made the difficult decision to wean my seven month old baby. It was particularly hard because I wanted to nurse him as long as possible because he hasn't received any vaccinations. I decided to have my milk tested because he was engaging in self-stim. behaviors like his older Autistic brother. So there is enough mercury in our fillings to cause autism if you believe the whole mercury theory. If you want any more information you are welcome to email me. Guest guest
I'm sure that was a difficult decision. My oldest son (low functioning autistic-vaccinated) nursed for a few years & he regressed after weaning. I nursed my 2nd son (not vaccinated) for a few years also & he has a few ADHD issues but nothing severe. The baby seems well so far... I would not wean as from my experiences it was the vaccines that caused my son's autism & the breastmilk that was helping him. Guest guest
Perrin, Michele, etc. It is documented in the medical literature that prenatal exposure to mercury from amalgam (and rhogam shots) crosses the placenta in significant levels with the fetus getting higher levels of exposure than the level in the mothers blood; by accumulation; their detox system isn't well developed. It is documented that mercury causes developmental effects at very low levels. Part of these developmental effects appear to be involved in the detox system, causing some to have metallothionein problems and other detox deficiencies. This affects future exposure by mercury in vaccines. In general the ones with the most effects are those who do not excrete mercury and toxic metals well. There are different factors in this, some related to previous toxic exposures. www.home.earthlink.net/~berniew1/indexk.html Bernie
