What you are writing is sort of self-contradictory. If yeast is the

true culprit then the Diflucan and Nystatin would have helped, not

made things worse.

Are you certain he doesn't have clostridia?

I am not at all arguing with the fact that something is going on.

I'm sure your right about that part. Moms are usually right. But I

am just questionning whether it is actually yeast.

Have you tried yogurt yet?

As for the theory that you are referring to. I know that we had tried

that method and it didn't work for us. I personally think that

science is on the side of SCD.

But let's see if we can't figure out what's causing your son so

much trouble.

Can you tell us exactly what he's eating now?

hi jody!!

i know that the anti-fungals are supposed to take care of the yeast,

but it seems that their efficacy wears off at the end of the

treatment? the reason i think it's yeast is that he has classic

symptoms of over growth: itchy genitals, fussy/odd behaviors, acts

intoxicated.

here is what we feed jake:

1 1/2 banana a day

2.5 cups pearsauce

1 cup carrots

1 cup green beans

1/2 avocado

1 tbsp cashew butter

proper dosing for custom probiotics twice a day

protein: 1 1/2 cup of chopped chicken or turkey a day

roasted turkey

marinated chicken: pineapple juice, vinegar, lime juice, garlic,

salt, pepper, oregano

i think we have been very careful, and that everything is on stage 2

or lower. we still do not have firm poops(not even close!!), just

odd behaviors and regressions in development when not on the anti-

fungals. as soon as we stop the anti-fungals, things go NUTS!!!

thanks again for all the help!!

So, while he is on antifungals things are better?

Are the stools normal while on antifungals?

Has he been tested for clostridia?

I just know that at the last DAN! conference Dr. McCandless and

Dr. Kartzinel discussed concurrent treatment for clostrida and

yeast.

Just jumping in here.....

This seems like a LOT of pearsauce. Is there any way you could increase the

amounts of the veggies and reduce the amount of pearsauce? What about spinich?

Have you ever tried introducing that? Should be easy to digest for him at this

point. (Would he eat it?? :)) Can he not tolerate eggs? Your CP is just the

acidophilus alone, right?

hi patti!!

thanks for the help!! jake is allergic to eggs, as well as apples.

i have tried introducing spinach, but the taste is so strong, he

bawlks. we have tried reducing the amount of pearsauce, but there is

a point when he refuses(this is when we are 1/2 pearsauce & 1/2

other purees). we have tried this several times. i feel like i have

tried every trick in the book. he is just beginning to use simple

words, but does not understand logic or reason.

i didn't think that we really needed to limit quantity. we have

tried really hard to balance his diet using only stage 1 & 2 foods

that he can use. hopefully his OT will be able to work on this.
