Guest guest
I'm sure there is an answer for our problem somewhere in the archive, but I'm so pressed for time from so many demands that I'm hoping someone out there will be able to give me an answer a little sooner this way. My daughter is autistic and I began treatment with Nystatin in March to combat her yeast overgrowth. We saw very good results and then I learned about chelation. I began chelating her with DMSA (50 mg every 4 hours- 3 days on, 4 days off) the first half of August and have been doing it every week since. Once again the results have been very good and the progress has really given me hope. She is so much more verbal and observant. I did a Great Plains Lab urine test for heavy metals and yeast before chelation and after six weeks of chelation. The metals are indeed coming out, but the yeast is much higher. I've done three OAT tests. One in March, one in August and one a few weeks ago, and the yeast continues to become worse over time, even though she is getting Yeast Aid from Kirkman Labs, multiple supplements (lots of cod liver oil, EFA, vit E and A, flax seed, Super Nu Thera, Vit C, calcium, and others) and Nystatin. Our doctor is new at this, and I'm so glad he has been willing to work with us on doing chelation, but I'd like to give him some idea of what others have tried when Nystatin no longer does the trick. Where do we go next? What's a good chemical to help combat the yeast while we chelate? My little girl is constantly putting her hands where they don't belong and I know she is uncomfortable, to say the least. I'd appreciate anyone sharing their experiences with me. Thanks!
