Guest guest
Have you thought about a natural, plant based progesterone cream? Progesterone is a hormone regulator and many women have found, if they get a good formula, don't have to take the hormone replacements at all. I've heard good things about this combination - evidently she developed the formula because of her horrible symptoms related to menopause and being a breast cancer survivor, she couldn't do hormone replacement. http://www.ultimateliving.com/NutritionalHealthPacks.asp#hormones But I know there are more formulations out there. Robbie estrogen replacement? What do I do,seems that the estrogen replacement sublingual, made from compound pharmacy is having bad affects on me,anything else? jody oregon cd For information on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, please read the book _Breaking the Vicious Cycle_ by Elaine Gottschall and read the following websites: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info and http://www.pecanbread.com

Progesterone is a hormone regulator and many women have found, if they get a good formula, don't have to take the hormone replacements at all. I opted for NO forms of hormone replacement and went through a sort of " dry " spell but with the diet I have excellent skin and no post menopausal problems or symptoms at age 73. Exercise addressed incipient osteoporosis and osteopenia. It could be just luck or good genes and also being wary of prescription and OTC medicines. The right food of SCD seems to have answered a lot of challenges. Carol F.
Guest guest
Jody, I found out about progesterone cream a few months ago and it has been a miracle worker for me!!! I am 33 and have had horrible pms since I was 14 (when the yeast overgrowth started). It was getting worse and worse every cycle to the point that I was having 15 days of it every month, with the first three and the last three days of each 15-day stretch including suicidal ideation from feeling completely out-of- control with my hormones. SCD helped some, and I'm still doing the diet as that's a big part of it. When my sister told me about a book regarding pre-menopause I thought she was nuts because I'm only 33. But it states that it can start in the late 20's, and sure enough that's me. I started the progesterone cream and the next cycle only had the first three rough days and 13 mild days. The next cycle had only 2 rough days, no other 13 days! I made a mistake thinking I would be fine with sugar while on vacation during that time afterwards and the third cycle was close to pre-cream days. So I know diet, gut healing, and the cream are all critical for me. The cream I use is called Pro-Gest Body Cream by Emerita and I bought it at Whole Foods. I have recommended the book to so many people since I first found out about it. It's by R. Lee, M.D. and it's called What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause. Sounds a little hokey, but he really goes into why standard hrt is not effective and actually more damaging to your health. This doctor also has two other books: What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopuase and What Your Doctor May Not Tell You ABout Breast Cancer. All three are excellent books (and my husband's a doc!) and I could really see after reading that with my pms and my sugary diet (plus a few other factors) that I was well on my way to increasing my chances for breast cancer. I'm posting this response here because there are many moms doing the diet with their kids who have found some help for their own health, but perhaps this could offer more. You can get it from or Borders, etc and it's sold in paperback for ~$15. I can give you more info if you want to email me privately. Good luck!
