Guest guest
> Question - I am in phase 1..is there any coffee drink from > starbucks i could have in Phase 1? That's one that has quite a following on the SBD boards. :-P The key is to go with low-fat/fat-free lattes and preferably decaf products. Just think sugar-free, low-fat, and decaf. A few months back, someone asked the nutritionists exactly that question. Here's what they said: " You may have a cappuccino, latte, tea, or coffee (decaf preferred) with skim or 1% milk. The amount of milk would count toward your milk servings (2 cups) for the day. " In another post they also say herbal teas are allowed, but to watch out for those with herbs that act as stimulants (standard " personal choice " response applies). I grabbed the dining guide from SBD for Starbucks: Starbucks Good choices include: * Regular or decaf drip coffee with a small amount of either skim/fat-free milk, 1%/low fat milk, or soy milk. * Soy milk lattes * Skim/fat-free milk lattes * Skim/fat-free milk cappuccinos * Any of the above flavored with sugar-free vanilla or sugar-free hazelnut syrup. Starbucks is anticipating expanding their selection of sugar-free syrups in the near future.
Guest guest
There is a movie theater near me that has all sorts of cappucinos and lattes and the like. I have always gotten the decaf cappucino deluxe with the sugar free vanilla syrup. However, I always got whipped cream on top. Gotta cut that part out now. But, still glad I can get the decaf cappucino with the sugarfree syrup ann > > The key is to > go with low-fat/fat-free lattes and preferably decaf products. Guest guest
but also make sure that the lattes are sugar free.....many places have a mix that they use that already has sugar in the coffee at places like that. Guest guest
It is bitter without the syrup, so I'm pretty sure there is no sugar. I will check, tho. ann > > > The key is to > > go with low-fat/fat-free lattes and preferably decaf products. > Just think > > sugar-free, low-fat, and decaf.
