Guest guest
I have tried to give my children Peptizyde, No-Fenol and Enzym- Complete/DPP-IV . My children developed a rash on different parts of their body. I believe it was Jody who said maybe they could not tolerate Papain. Madison cries and whines after the use of these enzymes. His behavior reminds me of how he acts when he eats grapes or pineapple. I use Creon 10. It is a pork base enzyme. They seem to do fine with Creon 10 but I really do not like giving them anything from a pharmacy on a regular basis. Is there any other enzymes that I can give my children that are free of papain and Bromelain? Guest guest
Check http://www.enzymestuff.com . There is tons of info on enzymes there. I bet you can find some that are papain free. If not, join enzymesandautism (another yahoo list) and ask there. I'm pretty sure the AFP Peptizyde does not have papain or bromelain. Guest guest
>>> Madison cries and whines after the use of these enzymes. His behavior reminds me of how he acts when he eats grapes or pineapple. I use Creon 10. Lynn, Since she doesn't tolerate pineapple it is likely the bromelain (from pineapple) in the enzymes. Look for something without papain (from papaya), bromelain, or actinidin (from kiwi). These are all cross- listed for reactivity. Papain is al cross-reactive with latex. How is she on just the No-Fenol? This doesn't have papain or bromelain. The regular Peptizyde has papain, but the AFP version of Peptizyde doesn't. Creon is pancreatic enzymes and doesn't contain the fruity enzymes. The Enzymedica line doesn't have these fruit derived enzymes except in one product called Repair. A good one in this line to try is Digest Gold which is okay on SCD. They have a different one called Digest but that has a probiotic not approved for SCD. The Digest Gold is fine though. Enzymedica is available in most natural food stores and many places online. One souce is www.getbigger.com. .
Guest guest
>>>> I am not sure how he will act with the N0-Fenol because my insert with No-Fenol said to give with Pretizyde. I will try it with the Creon 10 today. That will work. Let me know what happens. I don't know why it would say to give with Peptizyde. Maybe that is for improved yeast control. But it doesn't require Peptizyde to work. .
