Guest guest
Dawn, I certainly will try that bread from ph's. I'm not sure if you know it or not but they also have a factory store in Methuen, right across the street from Bea's sandwich shop. I like their products quite a bit. Guest guest
Hi people, I found this awesome protein pita bread for those who can tolerate breads at Super Stop and Shop. It's made my "phs" (common name for syrian bread), and clearly has a RED HEART as it's logo with SOY PROTEIN printed right on it. Serving size is 1/2 loaf (in other words, 1/2 piece), 120 cals 0 fat 0 sat fat 0 cholesterol 130 mg sodium 18 g Carbs 1 g fiber 2 g sugars 11 grams of PROTEIN! That's VERY good for bread guys, and for those who are pre-op, that's WICKED high for breads of any type. Usually MOST breads have lousy protein counts, unless you have 2 pieces at a time. I've tried mine various ways....Hell, I'll even share them! LOL! wripped apart with Hummus Tahini dipped toasted w/cheese (maybe even tomato) broiled with a bit of "Parkay Butter Spray", and garlic, parmesean cheese sprinkled until CRUNCHY (tastes kinda like a potato chip) a smear of peanut butter I'll post more when I figure more out! Hope you like it! Dawn

Guest guest
Hi Dawn, Thanks for the info on the bread, I bought some last night and tried it today, it was really good. I still don't tolerate bread too well, but I put this bread in the toaster oven, and it was much easier for me to eat. > We could make a S & S day anytime! > > Dawn > > Re: I found a great PROTEIN bread! > > > Ok Dawn, > I'm comin to your Stop and Shop - Mine just doesn't seem to be as > super!
