Guest guest
SHE'S GOT A TICKET TO WORK Judith Sullivan has gone through some ordeals in her 53 years. A widow and the mother of five children, Judith worked as a nurse for 28 years, helping others during their times of need. Then, she suffered a severe spinal injury. She endured two surgeries in 1992, allowing her to continue working for a few more years. But the years of bending and heavy lifting, as she assisted her patients, got the best of her. She applied for and started getting Social Security disability benefits. " It was a very tough period in my life, " Judith said, " and I was not a happy person. " Then Judith's " Ticket to Work " came in the mail from Social Security. It gave her the opportunity to look for a job she could do despite her continuing back problems. With her resume and interviewing skills polished, she landed a job as a customer service representative. " I am making good money, and I absolutely love my job, " Judith said.
