I suppose it is possible. I wouldn't worry about it if you are

following SCD to the letter, unless your yeast problem is severe.

Olive oil is SCD legal. SCD itself is sometimes usually enough to get

most people's yeast under control, but some people do have a hard time

and need medication or additional restrictions.

Virgin olive oil kills candida!!!!!! It can be taken orally as an

anti-candida agent. It's also very effective applied topically to

thrush - worked much better than prescribed cream when my son was a

baby! The cream contained a steroid, which made it start to act

faster, but it didn't clear up the thrush, whereas olive oil worked more

slowly initially, but got rid of the thrush in a few days.

don't overdo the olive oil, it impairs the sulphur chemistry

i don't understand how steriods are supposed to do anything except

supress the bodies immmune resposne

why would a steriod cream heal thrush?

" don't overdo the olive oil, it impairs the sulphur chemistry "

Just as a bit of clarification. Olive oil is high in phenols. Those

with PST problems and issues with phenol sensitivities may not

be able to use olive oil.

The rest of those on SCD should be able to use olive oil.

there is some issue with olive oil and sulphur chemistry

however i think the issue is 'overdo'

from an omega viewpoint as well its unbalanced

cause of its popularisation by the jackasses of the media there is a

tendency to use olive oil as a staple and its not suitable........

quite a while back a mom on an autism message board had a child with

a severe worsening of suphur issues and she was using a lot of olive

oil

plus though its hard to know exactly my sister used a lot of olive

oil and i think her children have improved on cutting back on the

olive oil

cold pressed may be worse for this i don't know and wether its simply

some sulphur question....i am getting more appreciative of the potent

bioactive cocktails in uncooked fruits and can see why jody places

some emphasis on cooked carbs.

the sulphur issues reduced or disappeared when the mom stopped using

olive oil

now i think about it phenol and sulphur issues are related............

olive oil is one among many and thats the way oils should be used.

since the steriod reduces immune repsonse then imo its likely that

things could have been made worse.
