Dearest members...

Well I see with being gone for a little while, (so sorry I came into this so late) but a rather heated and quite interesting discussion has been going on and just tonight or I should say this morning *smile* I finally got caught up a bit... and it's been all on the Subject line of "This makes me want to barf' regarding the abuse and pelvic pain connection article and on whether a physician should question us or not with V. pain.

I have seen some very intelligent and diverse discussions on it from all points of view and I truly do not think anyone is being calloused or unfeeling at all, in fact I personally think tongues were held in check to some degree in order to not desend to that level and I am thankful for that and I certainly mean no offense here to anyone.

Pronouncements and bias's are, however, very much colored by who and what we are and our own experiences individually, the truth is always in the eye of the beholder and always subjective, so perspectives are naturally different.

And I can also feel the deep pain that was shared by some of you and honor you for that and understand how devastating that has to be. We never know what someone else may be going through. Believe me my heart goes out to those who shared those most painful times with us, I felt the tears almost as they were written and am SO sorry that any of you had to go through those situations and wish you most of all healings of the heart, soul, & spirit and then the body.

BUT, before we get into pointless arguments or risk someone being truly offended unintentionally by defending a position that doesn't need to be defended, there is no right or wrong answer, I am asking (AS OWNER) for your cooperation for

a ''cease and desist'' on that subject from here on out. That's it, kaput. ;)

I appreciate everyones understanding in this matter, my own bias not withstanding but that's personal and so I have to approach it from the viewpoint of the position as owner and focus on what will serve the cohesion and harmony and benefit of the group as a whole. With a list this size the right thing to do is keep the focus on the collective solidarity of support, hope, and help for the whole group in regards to vulvar pain... 'that' is our main focus.

But indeed critical (meaning objective) discussion is healthy and more than welcomed as long as we do not make it personal. But in this instance I think it's been discussed more than enough and time to let it go...for those who wish to carry it on? I'd say take it 'off list' and do it privately but no more on group.

I truly ask for everyone's consideration in this and hope you know where "I'm" coming from as owner of this group.

Again I thank you for your cooperation in this and understanding.

Leaving you with a little quote:"Let go of your attachment to being right, and suddenly your mind is more open. You're able to benefit from the unique viewpoint of others, without being crippled by your own judgment."-Ralph Marston-

Warmest Regards & hugs to all

Dee~

Wearing the Owners hat today and wish I didn't have to.
