Guest guest
Hi we just did the same thing - but one of my boys had 4+ for Klebsiella so they tested against antibiotics and herbs it turned out to be sensitive to Augmentin - so I went for this and after 2 days we had brown patty cake poohs - first normal in a long time so we are doing 10 days of this then following up with culturelle. My other boy was just 3+ so I will try to " crowd " it out with culturelle - apparently this can be quite successful. I am just testing the culturelle on myself and its making me very nauseous so I will introduce this slowly to start with. Hope that helps - I was very in the dark myself on this. Regards Terri NZ Klebsiella bacteria Hi, we recently did the comprehensive stools test for our daughter and the report says the following: Bacteria: Klebsiella pneumoniae 3+ yeast: candida albicans 2+ we have just starting the anti-fungal therapy with MCT oil for both bacteria and yeast. And we have also ordered the pro-biotics from culturelle. Although there is a lot of information available about candida, not much is known on how to treat Klebsiella. Can any one share their experience on Klebsiella and the treatment? thanks mom2kuts
Guest guest
Dr. Amy Holmes says the key to knocking out klebsiella is to treat with bismuth for a couple of days first (active ingredient in Pepto Bismol) to breakdown the outer membrane of the kleb. cells. Then any standard antibiotic should knock it out. Guest guest
Hi all, Can someone let me know if they have had the klebsiella bacteria found in their child's CDSA test and how they have treated it? We use a lot of probiotics and hope that it will crowd out the bad ones but i'm not sure if that'll work ? Thanks, sanrithu
