Guest guest
I am in the process of asking my doctor to prescribe Actigall rather then Urso for me. While I was in the hospital I was given Actigall not Urso and my itching was minimal. Has anyone else had this experience of reduced itching with Actigall? Please let me know. All other meds were the same.

Guest guest
a, My mother was born in Canada, she says my Dad liberated her back in the 40's. Anyhow, her nephew is a Dr. and when I needed actigall, it was cheaper in Canada. He prescribed Ursafalk. Same stuff, different name. When I qualified for helthcare, I started getting my meds in the U.S., the actigall looked identical to the ursafalk. I assume it is the same. Guest guest
Is there another name for Actigall? I have mentioned it to my doctor's here in Canada and they do not seem to have any info on it. a PSC 04/05 Re: Actigall Vs. Urso I am on Actigall and never had any itching. Guest guest
Hi a; The different formulations of ursodeoxycholic acid are described in one of our newsletters (page 1): http://www.pscpartners.org/NewsVol-1-6.pdf Basically Actigall, Ursofalk and URSO are all different formulations of ursodeoxycholic acid packaged with different " inactive ingredients " and coatings. URSO seems to have the highest bioavailability of the active ingredient. Let us know if you have any questions after reading this. Best regards, Dave R.
