Guest guest
I feel okay on day two. Didn't sleep right last night, but don't know if it's phase 1 related or not. So I am tired. But feeling okay otherwise. ann > > Good evening everyone, > > I was just wondering, has anyone experienced leg aches during the > first couple of days during phase 1. I've found that I start getting muscle cramps when I get low on potassium -- typically a pretty solid clue that I need to do something about it. I usually cook with some salt replacement (such as Morton's Salt Substitute) which is Potassium Chloride (KCl). Of course, folks have to watch potassium intake if they're on certain meds. As for sodium loss on the diet -- fat chance.

Guest guest
My doctor told me because I'm on this diet she was happy she felt is was one of the better ones...but she told me to get Morton Lite Salt and make sure I take at least 1/2 tsp of it daily...in water or just st8 to make sure I was getting enough Potassium...and she said make sure you put a little on your food too...don't cook with it cause the heat will disapate the Potassium....I never had a problem. Guest guest
The calcium with magnesium is what works for me for leg cramps. I used to get magnesium shots and they helped best, but I don't go to that doctor anymore. ann < > When I have leg cramps....I take calcium tablets, they go away > instantly. Guest guest
I've had leg cramps off and on for years, even as a kid. They started up again a couple weeks after starting SB. I did some internet research and found potassium, magnesium and calcium all mentioned as being helpful for nighttime leg cramps. I started taking supplements and the cramps have gone away. I don't remember what articles I read but if you do a search on google for leg cramps some good articles will come up.
