Guest guest
Hi Ladies, I remember that many of you have said never to use "Always", although that's what I've always used. I noticed over the last week, when my period was late and I was wearing one just in case, that without the flow to cover it, I definitely noticed an irritation from it. I switched to the thin kotex, but it doesn't seem to be as absorbant. Is there anything else on the market (thin pads) that any of you have discovered? I'm not looking for alternatives, like cutting up cotten diapers. I know that's been effective for many of you, but I don't have the patience required. Thanks..... You might want to check out Seventh Generation and Natracare, both of which make an assortment of pads, from overnight to pantyliners. In my experience, the Natracare are the softer, more comfortable pads -- though the SG ones are slimmer. Hollis
Guest guest
I find tampons to be less irritating. I can't tolerate the pads up against my skin even though my pain levels are much better now. I use NatraCare organic cotton tampons and the Junior sized unscented Tampax. I wear the smallest size possible for comfort.
Guest guest
I was instructed to use Natural Pads. They are 100% cotton with no chemicals added to make them more absorbent(which is what can cause irritation.) They have worked quite well for me and can be found at your local Natural Health Food store. They are more expensive than others, but it is well worth the cost. Hope this helps! Guest guest
I use seventh generation organic cotton/unbleached pads. I also just ordered some glad rags: www.gladrags.com that are supposed to be more gentle for women with vulvodynia and non-irritating. They are re-usable cotton fabric pads.
