Guest guest
Chrissy, It sounds as if you've got a very good lawyer, so I would just trust him to do what is best. Try and relax, getting too stressed isn't going to help your pain levels any.. Let us know how it goes. Hugs, Jo
Guest guest
This is just plain absurd ! I'm glad that you have a decent lawyer. Good grief !Chrissy wrote: Well today I have to go to my lawyers office at 2pm and my nerves are totally shot about it..I got a call Friday afternoon late from his office and he wants to see me ASAP about my dogbite case...the defense put in over 3 months ago for a dismissal and they're saying it should be dismissed because "The petitioner broke into my clients home and tried to rob them"....number one, I was INVITED to their house on the 4th of July 2003..number 2, my husband was working for them at that time putting in new cold water tanks, hot water heaters, and doing general contractor work and number three, what reason on this EARTH would I have to break in and rob someone??? I'm 36yrs old NOT 16yrs old..I've never broken into anyones home except for my own when I locked myself out. My lawyer told me not to worry because the day I got bit, the sheriffs dept was there along with the state police, local police, DEP police and K-9 and he said if I DID do ! that, why didn't the defendants have me arrested that day? Why did they wait to say anything until they got served not only with lawsuit papers but they said nothing to anyone until my lawyer filed a judgement against them and froze all their assets and then they retained a lawyer and then came up with this cockamamie story..anyway..the judge who's had the casefile can either dismiss it or not and I hope he doesn't cause then we'll have to appeal and my nerves just can't handle things like this right now..if the judge doesn't dismiss it, then we go to trial and I'm not looking forward to that either...well thanks for letting me vent some about this..and I hope everyone has a low pain day unlike myself who never has one... Guest guest
Chrissy, I wonder how come they did not file charges that day either if you had gone into home to rob them. Just sort of odd case. It is awful how people will twist things all around to win a case with no thought to damage doing to other peoples lives. I sure am sorry your having to go through so much Chrissy. Just the emotional struggle alone can cause your pain level to go sky high. Not one person needs that to just add to pain already there. Well keep us informed please and do not think you vented at all. Just told us about your life. Don't be concerned about talking to others about how your life is going. If want to talk one on one just write myself or any other on here, okay? It is good to have someone to speak to that can understand the struggles young through. Guest guest
Chrissy, May truth prevail today in court! My nerves would be shot too. I'm waiting to see the judge for SSDI and know I'll be a nervous wreck when the time comes! Think your lawyer is right about them not getting away with a fabricated story obviously made up at the last minute. Love, N.Well today I have to go to my lawyers office at 2pm and my nerves are totally shot about it..I got a call Friday afternoon late from his office and he wants to see me ASAP about my dogbite case
