Guest guest
Hi everyone, Jay and I have been doing a lot of thinking lately and are realizing that it is getting hard to deal with the boys alone. We have family around, but most do not know how to help and are afraid because they can not communicate with the boys or deal with the behaviors. The local DDD organization never has respite workers to offer so that makes it hard too. I am writing to ask if anyone knows of any resources out there that have special needs live out nannies/teachers. We have some good help, but it is very part time and most of the great people we have seem to leave because they get teaching jobs. I like the fact that most of the help we have had are teachers or students going for their deaf certification. I think it may be time to find a combination of teacher/nanny because things are not running as smoothly as we would like it in the house. The boys are getting bigger and have many more needs that we cannot keep doing this alone. I think I sometimes forget that I have 2 Chargers-it sometimes feel like 10!!!!! If anyone knows of any resources please let me know, I would appreciate it!! Murray mom to twin Chargers and and wife to Jay
