Guest guest
Just a couple of quick questions. I asked my doctor, because I eat peanuts and other nuts for calcium, will Samm be allergic, or do I have to wait until she eats them herself. She said that less than one percent of what we eat gets into breastmilk. Dr. Sears also says that when you drink coffee less than one percent gets into your breastmilk. If less than one percent of what I am eating or drinking is getting in to my milk, what exactly is she getting? Also if a nursing mother has a cigarette, how does this affect her milk. I don't smoke anymore, I quit when I found out I was pregnant, but my Mom thinks there is nothing wrong with the fact she smoked through both of her pregnancies, even though I was a week late and weighed less than 5 lbs!! But she thinks that is normal. Also, if you have an alcoholic drink, everywhere it says to wait two hours before feeding. Isn't the alcohol still there? Thanx for any answers in advance.
