Guest guest
Hi again, ! I just wanted to say thank you for your response. I hope I didn't sound insensitive...asking questions about m/c when you have had to suffer through them yourself. I am so sorry for your loss, but am also so happy for your blessing...little Sol-! No, you didn't freak me out really, I was just curious. I figured it was usually a first trimester thing due to lack of blood supply/septum. I just wasn't sure. Thank you for answering my question! From what I remember in my early stages of the first pregnancy, implantation appeared to be near the top of the septum in the right uterus. So, maybe it IS UD since there shoul be more blood supply in a UD septum, right? ISn't it supposedly more vascular since it is more like a " normal " uterine wall...just fused back to back with the other uterus?? Wow, I am so technical with my terminology...hahaha! You know what I mean, though. Anyway, in one sense, I guess it DOESN " T matter what 'category' I am in, SU or UD or BU or whatever, since I HAVE been lucky enough to have one baby and one on the way. I just feel like I have to know sometimes for my own knowledge. By the way, what does it mean when you say that " both cervices communicate with both sides of my uterus " ? I have been meaning to ask that question for a while. As for my OB, yes, he is pretty set in his ways, so to speak. I think he is one of those with a complex, you know, he is always right and therefore closes his mind to new findings. I WAS in Ontario back in 2001 before Peyton was born. However, we moved that September to Memphis, TN (my husband is the Canadian one, he plays hockey and he had signed with a team here). Anyway, , I really do appreciate your help and hope all is well with you and the baby. This site has helped me stay sane over the past several years, even though my OB dreads when I say " well, I know a girl from my group who has..... " haha Neal fused UD? edd 11-28-03 mom to Peyton, 11-26-03 ( > > Hi, . I just was reading your post about SU bicollis and > >surgery where you talked about how common it is to m/c with SU. Guest guest
Hi - I figured it > was usually a first trimester thing due to lack of blood > supply/septum. I just wasn't sure. Thank you for answering my > question! Just wanted to chime in....my septum caused a late second trimester loss (23 weeks) due to PTL. Since none of us knew I had the septum at the time, I can't say what specific aspect of it caused the labor. I honestly think that the baby just got too big for that one side and the septum was so large that it prevented him from reaching the other side. The placenta was attached on the outside wall and not on/near the septum. There are only a few of us who experienced this late loss (3 that I know of) but PTL is definitely a risk with unresected septums. Earlier losses are more common. Good luck with your pregnancy and as you seek a definitive diagnosis. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have!
