Guest guest
I live in canada, and am also wondering what bacon is SCD legal. I once read on a post about Maple Leaf 33 1/3 less salt being legal, but I can't find it at major grocery chains. I would appreciate a suggestion. I live in Newfoundland and all the major stores here carry the Maple Leaf 33 1/3 less salt bacon. Where do you live and what stores (chains) are in your area? The Maple leaf 33 1/3 less salt comes in a blue and black package. Sheila 42 mos SCD, 21yrs UC mom of SCD 27 mos
Guest guest
Hi bacon lovers. I live in ontario and we can get the 33% less salt bacon at IGA and Loblaws. Otherwise, I expect if you ask your grocer he will order it for you. sarah Sheila Trenholm wrote: Hi , > I live in canada, and am also wondering what bacon is > SCD legal. Guest guest
Thanks Sheils, I am in Quebec. My local Loblaw's does not carry it, but I will check out the other chains. I was just wondering if this was the only legal bacon available? Guest guest
Has anyone in the US had luck finding legal bacon? I'm in Alabama, and we have pretty limited grocery store choices...Brunos, Food World, Winn Dixie, Walmart, Super Target. Re: Re: Looking for sugar-free bacon... Thanks Sheils, I am in Quebec. Guest guest
If it helps, we just purchased an organic hog and cow. The butcher prepared the hog to order (plain, nothing in it) but very good. We split it with another family ; ) Marla i am so excited that i might be able to use bacon again. Guest guest
Hi Donna, I checked out their bacon and found that the ingredients are : " Hardwood Smoked Bacon Ingredients Organic pork, water, sea salt, organic honey, organic beet powder. " The organic honey may contain pollen or be cut with corn syrup (you'd have to check with the company). Also commercial beet powder is a questionable ingredient.
