My doctor that is doing most of my care, said that a support group can be a good thing.

But I have had a doctor tell me that anything I look up in the computer about RSD is wrong and that the sites for RSD are all there to tell people how to sue their doctors, he was the one that said RSD didn't spread.

I so agree with you about anything we try to do to make life better that there is something wrong with it. I get so tired of being told what is best for us by people who don't have a clue what this disease is that sometimes I just want to scream.

When I tell my doctors I'm in a computer group they have said becarefull they are addicting.

The drs respond as if it was a bad thing. I tell them that if I didn't have this grp I would certainly be locked up or dead. It seems like any thing we try to do to make life better there's something wrong with it.Sucks.

I feel we are all mature enough to know what is good and bad for us. We don't have to be told. I'm rambling it's way to early in the morn 3:00.

I know what you mean. They tell you just stay clam. Let me try something else. I know your in pain but we have to do this first and then this. But what they don't realize there not in our position. I tell them live in my shoes for one hour. They tell us no thats ok "I UNDERSTAND" HA HA

The support group helps all of us because we understand what they don't.

I had my deposition today, and this is one of the things that I got questioned about was how much information did I look up on the internet, when did I do the research on the internet....before I was diagnosed with RSD or after, before or after which doctor that diagnosed me, have I joined any support groups online for the RSD, have I used anything that I've learned from the support groups or information off the internet to lie about my symptoms, make symptoms up so that everything I said sounded worse than it actually was......and so on.

The guy really attacked the Internet today and anything/everything that goes with it, including any support groups and information that I have gotten from it.

So, for anyone who has yet to go to a Deposition or court for Worker's Comp or Insurance purposes, I would strongly advise to NOT mention EVER using the Internet or Online Support Groups, because they will attack and shred you apart using any and all information you have used against yourself because of it.
