Guest guest
Hi Alice, I've gotten a few things stuck before, some lasted longer than others. My theory was eventually " whatever " it was to have gotten stuck, eventually must break up into tiny pieces I'd imagine with the enzymes in the saliva, so whatever was lingering must have just finally slithered downward! I have found in the past, that if I get something stuck to the point of aggravation, not pain, I'll literally stick my finger down the throat to gag just a bit...seems to work for ME, but I'd imagine it's not good to do! Take it slow, and don't worry about the few pounds....it's called THE HEAT and WATER RETENTION...pump up the non carbonated, and caffeine free stuff, especially the " Wah Wah " Dawn Something stuck? Hi all, Tomorrow is my one year anniversary, and I think I may have gotten something “stuck” for the first time, two days ago. I have no idea what it was. It wasn’t terribly painful. It just felt like a lump in my chest and it lasted for 2 whole days. Finally seemed to go away this morning. I was able to eat and drink normally, but the feeling wouldn’t budge. I thought that getting something stuck made you sick or in pain or unable to eat. Is it possible that it was something else? - Alice A. 236/154 (It was 151 a week ago. Let’s hope this is due to my period coming today)
Guest guest
That happened to me several months out once. Since it cleared up, there is not likely to be a problem. If the blockage continues, it may be a small bowel obstruction caused by the intestine slipping into a crack or it could be an overgrowth of scar tissue at the " Y " junction. The latter happened to me and they had to operate to reattach the " Y " . Guest guest
Yes, it started in my chest. If felt like my pouch was blocked. It was strange. Even though the stomach, which had no connection to the pouch, was blocked, the pouch felt like it was blocked. It reached the point where I could no longer drink. I felt like I wanted to vomit, but could not because there was nothing there to vomit. It has been three months now and everything seems to be working perfectly. Guest guest
Alice: I have had things get "stuck" but never for that long. It feels pretty uncomfortable to me - not pain exactly, but hard to breathe right until whatever it is goes down. I think (no, I know, I eat too fast). Congrats on your one year anniversary. What a difference in you! Last time I saw you you looked just wonderful; hope you feel as good as you look. Lois
