You both fought a hard and courageous battle. Now he can be at peace.

You are a shining example of unconditinal love and support. I will

Both Bill and my wife Lori developed ascites at about the same time,

in December 2004. Tina and I have shared a lot of backchannel emails

since that time dealing with Bill's struggles and Lori's surgeries and

recoveries.

I always felt that Bill was lucky to have Tina in his life, and his

life was enriched by knowing her. The care and support and dedication

that Tina showed to Bill has been an inspiration. I'll continue to

pray for Bill's family, that they find spiritual and emotional healing

in the days ahead. I'll also pray for Tina, that she'll recognize how

she has enriched not just Bill's life but mine as well. Tina is one of

the true heroes in this group.

I just read of Bill's death while at work and it has really shaken me.

I am in tears just hearing this. I only know of Bill through this

site and recently realized from a posting from Tina that he was less

than 30 years old. He has been through a lot recently with all the

infections and I wanted so badly for him to get well. I kept thinking,

since they are infections and I think the surgery went OK, he'll be

fine soon. Two young losses so close together. 2 and now

Bill. I learn so much from this site and what to ask doctors, etc but

on the negative side, I am getting really down with so much bad news

and everything affects me so personally even though I personally do

not know anybody.

Dear Tina,

As my tears flow for your loss, I am at a loss for words. You have

been so strong and supportive through all of this with Bill and his

family and an inspiration to us all. I have always hoped and prayed

that my son one day finds someone as loving and caring as you. Know

that you will be in our prayers.

Joanne, Amen to that. Tina has really been a big inspiration and has

been through a lot with all that was happening. I can't begin to

imagine what she must be going through. We can only pray that she

finds the strength to go on and also pray for Bill's family who have

lost a young son.

Tina,My heart goes out to you. There is a ripple of sadness going through our group today. I want you to know that my brother in law is a NY fireman and he will be walking one of our "Virtual Walk" tee shirts through some firehouses. I sent him Bill's obituary so that his co -workers could sign in Bill's memory. Please know that we all care about you and admire the way you stayed by Bill through everything,God Bless you.Lee It is with great sadness that I write this message.  Bill passed away yesterday morning at Mt. Bill and all

It comes as a shock and such loss. His humor, wise words and doing

whatever it takes was just amazing to me. He is going to be missed.

This disease sucks.

Dear Tina,

I am so sorry that Bill's life ended at such a young age. I know he fought

as hard as he did because of the future he looked forward to with you. You

were a great caregiver to Bill. He was a very lucky guy to have you as a

partner.

I think h Carey had someone like you in mind when she wrote the song

" Hero " .......

Hmmm

There's a hero

If you look inside your heart

You don't have to be afraid

Of what you are

There's an answer

If you reach into your soul

And the sorrow that you know

Will melt away

And then a hero comes along

With the strength to carry on

And you cast your fears aside

And you know you can survive

So when you feel like hope is gone

Look inside you and be strong

And you'll finally see the truth

That a hero lies in you.

Please stay in touch Tina. You are part of this family and have so much to

offer us.

With deepest sympathy for Bill's family and our friend Tina...

Omaha Tim

Recently when you write I can not read it because it comes out very pale blue. Yours is the only one that comes like this. Do you have your computer set up some way different? Are others having the same problem? MartiGaia Trek wrote: Rita, I hear you. I’m sure every person here is feeling the loss. It’s really tough any time we lose

someone to the disease that we or our loved ones are effected by. This double loss in a very short time is double the shock. I cried both times. It’s sort of like watching a really good movie where you become very attached to all the characters and then when someone dies, you find yourself crying even though you know it isn’t real. Here, most of us don’t know each other, but we are very aware of how real we are and how real the consequences can be. It’s a tough road to haul, for sure. I think it’s important to honor the friendships and memories we share and know that regardless of our individual outcomes, the doctors are learning with each case they treat. And we, also, are learning tons in all the sharing and caring that we are a part of here. We need to keep our chins up, our minds strong, and continue the fight…whatever it takes, right? Tina,

I am so very sorry. I know this is a horrible loss for you and for our

whole group, too. You're right, he is your angel. He'll be with you in

spirit forever and always. I'll pray for your strength through this

time of grief, and for Bill's spirit.

Love and Peace,

Deb in VA
