Guest guest
Teri, Just want to quickly send you my love and know what you are going through. This happened to me about a year ago, and it is awful. Please get lots of rest and try and drink lots of fluids, that is what helped me get it all out. It is hard but you need to keep trying. LOL and Best Wishes. Hope you are feeling better soon. Dawn Teri Lehr wrote: , JoAnn, Group I am here, in body only, as my mind is completely shot! I have been reading posts as I can just haven't been replying as I find it terribly hard to concentrate on much with the constant interruptions of the coughing that is driving me insane! What I thought was just a cold has turned into a hell of its own! Progressed to what he believed was bronchitis, but when the antibiotics and inhaler didn't help, finally did x-rays to find that I have pneumonia. I guess it is what they call walking pneumonia, however I don't buy the walking part as I spend most my time laid out. This is of course made worse by the fact that the quitting smoking has got my lungs just all kinds of wanting to get rid of all the junk that I have been piling up in them for the last 20 years. And to top it all off I am not one of those people that can cough it out....it gets to a certain point and then it goes back down. Doc is telling me that if I don't get past the grossness of coughing it out it will never go away....how exactly do I get past that is that I want to know!!! I try...really I do, but my body just won't let it! I will continue to try to keep up, but please bare with me! I apologize if I had you all worried! I continue to pray for every one of you each day....you are all godsends! Teri -- Teri? Teri, Where are you? You've been 'missing in action' for several days now. You okay? Love, N. __________________________________________________

Please be very careful and watch your oxygen levels!!!! Take care of yourself Teri.......Pneumonia isn't something to mess with... Teri, No need to apologize that's what friends are for. I have had all the pneumonias that there are and believe me if you can just get rid of that gunk you will feel so much better. I know that is easier said than done. I will pray for you to be able to practice body over mind. hope you get well soon, Lin
Guest guest
Teri so good to hear from you to at least know what is going on. But so sorry you are so sick. I understand it is not only a hard cough plus a force with throat to push up the junk in lungs, but you have to do it....sort of think like when your kids were little and you knew they had to take something when sick and had to talk them into doing it, it is the same here, just that you understand more why. So gross perhaps like taste of liquid meds to me, but do it because you want to get better and not end up in hospital. PLEASE TRY.....Come on kiddo, you can do it, I know you can, just set your mind to it like all the other things dealt with in life. Your strong lady and know you will and can do this. Now that is the Momma part above talking so please as a friend do it as need you well and back on here, okay?!!! Take care my friend. JoAnn s Momma Teri? Teri, Where are you? You've been 'missing in action' for several days now. You okay? Love, N. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Teri: Hi! Sorry to hear that you have pneumonia, I know that is not fun. I had that myself a couple of years of ago. That is something I can never get, because I have no spleen to fight off the pneumonia. I was so very sick, when I had the SCS that I ended up with an horrible infection through my body and pneumonia on top of it. I had to have shots every other week for about a month. It was horrible!!!! So I know how you feel right now, sort of. I have been wondering who your doctor is in Bloomington, Illinois? I know there are some very good doctors there. Hope your feeling better soon!!
