1st post-op appointment

Hi everyone. I am 12 days out and I seen the surgeon and the

nutrition department today. I AM off ALL my medications and the

insulins I was on. My blood pressure was great, my sugars were in

good range and I lost 17 lbs since my surgery. My stitches are

dissolving nicely and I can now remove all the steri-strips. I have

no signs of infection and I now need to just massage vitamin E cream

on my incision. I go back to the nutrition department and that Dr

in 2 weeks, at which time I am able to drive. I have not yet been

told I can go back to work.

I talked to them about the protein shakes. They referred me to

GNC. They have a new high protein drink available (in about 7

fruity flavors) with 40 grams of protein per drink. It's called

Isopure. They are a bit pricey, but I must get my protein in and I

am not a milk or milkshake drinker. I have been promoted to stage 2

now, so I had 2 oz of eggbeaters and an ounce of cottage cheese for

dinner.

I am feeling great and just amazed at the weight loss in just 12

days!! WHOOHOO!!!! I've just entered Loserville!!

Best wishes to all,

Audrey
