I hear you! Last prep was awful. I told the doc that I really needed

only one dose of phopho soda 1.5 oz, not 3 oz as his prep called for.

He told me I could have stopped at 1.5 oz if I saw I was all " cleaned

out " . Would have been nice to know ahead of time. Baby wipes " for

sensitive skin " help. Also a squirt bottle with water for washing the

outside of the area in question. Let it stand for a day to get the

chlorine out.

MizKit said she fasted for 2-3 days and this worked for her. My first

colonoscopy failed with a fasting prep. When I had active UC the doc

told me to have clear liquids for 2 days because he thought the

laxative preps were too harsh. I followed it religiously, but there

was a formed stool, so the prep failed. I think he already had me on

sulfasalazine and I just responded too well.

I thought my insides were all coing out. My Dr insists on

phospho soda or whatever it is called and I requested

something different suggested by a PSC'er.
