I would suggest it was too much peanut butter that made you feel

bad. Peanuts are legumes and are pretty hard to digest, even in the

butter form. Sometimes when I eat too much of something like that,

it gives me diarrhea and pain too. I have celiac also. I don't

think the honey was the problem, but this is just my guess.

Possibly, you could have put too much honey in it, and if you have

yeast problems, it might have upset that too.

cause a bad reaction in some people. I made the peanut butter

brownies the other day, and after eating it, my stomach was really

irritated (I have gastroparesis along with celiac), and I got really

tired. After I slept, I felt better, but not great. I thought honey

would be a great alternative to sugar for me....but maybe not?

I am not officially on the SCD. Still in the gathering info stage. I am gluten

free, because of celiac but am still having problems. Technically, I could still

have gluten in my system as I have only been gf for three months. Some people

evidently take longer to heal. I tried the pb brownies, and am trying a few

other recipes so that maybe I can have some of this down before officially going

on the SCD.

Re: Honey

How long have you been following SCD?

Did you start with the intro? What are you eating now, including

method of preparation?

It's really difficult to offer an answer without some more details.

Except it doesn't happen when I only eat peanut butter, but does when I only

have honey. :-/
