Guest guest
Hello and welcome. I think the article that you are speaking about was written by Jacquie the list owner. If you look on site under messages her name shoes up as The Hunny Family, and you could bo back a few days, or you could try a search with some key words from the message listing page also. Someone may have that post saved as it was a most excellent post.

Was the article you are looking for something that was posted here or on a different web site? If it was here, go to the parenting_autism web site, click on messages, then just keep clicking previous until you see a subject line that looks like what you're looking for. Guest guest
Kathy, This is normal as most of us hit " reply to all " because sometimes when someone needs an answer it will go to their personal email address quicker, plus the whole group in general would like to see the answer as well. Thus you get two answers to your questions. You will get used to it. No big deal..just delete one. Guest guest
, Have they ever done a CT or MRI of the inner ears; it is common in CHARGE to have undeveloped or missing semi-circular canals. It is very diagnostic in CHARGE, and explains a lot about the balance problems. What about his eyes, has he had a complete eye exam where they dilate the eye to look at the retina? Welcome to the group. Kim > Hi. We're new to the block. I'm . Guest guest
Hi Kim. Thank you for the welcome! I do believe that they did an MRI of the inner ear at CHOP when he was an infant. I may have them to it again at this hospital though. I remember them saying he has some abnormality to the bones, and the canals are very short and very wide. His eyesight has been checked, so far he doesn't seem to need glasses. Though I'm beginning to think that he does have some OCD. If his shirt gets just a drop of liquid, he cries and has to change it! Also, he has to have is matchbox cars all lined up, and if my husband and I park our cars in a different spot outside our house, he starts asking questions of why. I don't know if it's just his shtick, or if it's OCD. What do you think? Guest guest
Hi , I think it all fits with his need to have his world such that he has enough control on the outside to help him have control of his body on the inside. Yes, that may be a way to describe OCD, but it does seem to fit with CHARGE. Kim > Hi Kim. Guest guest
Hi! I am a new member and was recommended this group to ask for advice about schools, neurologists, therapists, etc. I am curious to find out about the different schools in the Pasco/Hernando area. I want to find out if there is a particular school that has exceptional teachers and knowledgeable staff about autism. (elementary- 1st grade) What is their stance on inclusion? Any particular pediatric neurologist that someone might recommend and ABA therapists that you particularly recommend. Would like any feedback possible. Thanks
