I really only lurk here. I have a friend whose daughter recently

had a mercury toxicity blood test via regular pediatrician. The

test showed very high mercury. It has since dropped somewhat, but

is still very high. Their ped is recommending doing nothing, and

the mom is not comfortable with that. However, she is a person who

needs the " MD " label in order to feel like she's getting appropriate

healthcare. They live in CA (Bay area), and she would like to find

a local doctor to help her. The child is not Autistic. She did

have some developmental delays/sensory issues, but those have mostly

resolved with intervention (she's 4). She does have many food

allergies, eczema, etc. Recently the child had some issues w/her

vision (strabismus which came on gradually but was not there in

infancy/toddlerhood). She now wears glasses. Parents & sibling

were tested. Only Dad has high mercury via blood test. Mom learned

that there is a river nearby which is apparently mercury toxic.

Would you have any recommendations for this family? I know they

won't be comfortable venturing outside mainstream, but they do want

to pursue chelation. Your advice would be greatly appreciated!
