Guest guest
No, they won't remember. Instead, SBD will just get chalked up as another one of those failed fad diets. Out the window with my dreams of restaurants that were totally SBD friendly springing up all over the country. Not going to happen now. At least not using the " right plan. He he > he! LOL Nah, I'm not THAT bad yet. T has problems with her blood sugar dropping off if she goes too long without eating something. SBD is not a total solution for this either -- she still drops off regardless of eating plenty. When her sugar drops off, she's pretty much done for half a day -- that's how long it takes for her to really recover from it -- so I make every attempt to keep an eye on it. Ironic really -- her brother has diabetes, her father has type 2 diabetes, and here she is getting hypoglycemic every so often. <Shrug> What can I say? I worry. Guest guest
Yes, SB probably will be coined the next fad diet but it is encouraging to hear how many people's doctors are recommending it. When I first read the book my thought was, this guy's not going to make much money selling this book for $15 and recommending grocery store food. Guess that's where the Kraft line of products comes in. There has always been healthier food available in restaurants with or without the SB or Atkins label attached to them. Once you understand SB you can make good choices wherever you are. That's what I like about it. Considering how long Atkins has been around, I expect South Beach will be too but it could be a rocky road for awhile. The more popular it gets, the more critics will be trying to tear it down. Oh well, as I said yesterday I've got my book and I know what works. Chuck Kelsey wrote: > No, they won't remember. I think these prepared dinners (SB and others) are handy for occasional use. If it's one of them or Mc's, the frozen SB meal is better, obviously. But not for daily use. There are people who are more convenience driven and they'll probably have predictable results eating this stuff too often. What's the old saying about doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? If you've always eaten out and at home convenience foods and gained weight, why would you expect to continue doing that and lose weight. Yet some people will. Oh well, their loss - or gain. Sounds like your hubby is justified to be concerned then. I've found with my wife that she can go 3-4 hours between meals usually -- anything more is pushing it. Curiously enough, her response to the SBD has not been as predicted -- by eating foods higher on the glycemic index, she's actually lasted longer on occasion than she does with the SBD. Leave it to her to be the exception to the rule.

You can order it from Amazon for $16.47 for a new copy, price for used copies starts at $6.30. If you order $25 worth of stuff from them shipping is free - again in the states, don't know about Canada. That's for new. Used items usually incur shipping costs so sometimes it's a trade off. Guest guest
I just went and looked. The only ones I can eat are the frozen entrees, because the rest are loaded with wheat and soy, which I am allergic to. But, at least I can get the entrees for nights when it's impossible to cook. I won't want to do it too often, since they frozen meals are high in sodium. ann > > New South Beach Diet Foods from Kraft > > (In case you did not get this I wanted everyone to see it) > Looking for a meal that's fast and South Beach Diet™-friendly? > Beginning in April, Kraft will be launching a whole new line of > delicious products made especially for South Beachers — and with Dr. > Agatston's seal of approval, these products will help keep you " on the > Beach. Guest guest
Many of us on here feel it's easier to make up your own....you can buy the compartmen rubber made containers and use your left overs...voila healthy frozen meals....Speaking for myself.....I'll emphasize speaking for MYSELF so no one misunderstands.....after reading the ingredients you won't see me eat those frozen ones from the grocery store....SB is my new WOE and way of thinking healthy and whole foods, not the chemicals, dyes and salt and what ever I can't even pronouce that are in those frozen ones.
