I thought my son's eyes were black but after putting him on the diet I

realized that his eyes are really brown. He is now 11, been on the diet

since January but was placed with us for adoption at 20 months. My son

is GFCFSFcorn_free, low phenols & sugar, no dyes or preservatives.

This is called mydriasis, it is due to a lot of possible things but in

certain mental illnesses that are due to brain chemical imbalances

people's pupils dilate and then they go berserk.

Many of these kids have relatively dilated pupils.

The toxic ick that bothers him (from food, dysbiosis, etc.) apparently

bothers his pupils as well as his brain.

I know that Dr. Megson talks about rod dysfunction in the eyes and that is

one reason she recommends CLO; however, I do not know if rod dysfunction would

cause dilated pupils. Kathy

The same thing happens when people use drugs, such as cocaine. Pupils

get huge.

Is he on the GFCF diet? My DS is GFCF and his pupils get bigger if he

eats offending foods.

My son is almost three years old and we have noticed lately that his

pupils are dilated. I've read somewhere that this is a sign of

mercury poisoning. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you.

My oldest daughter 8, has dilated pupils while in the house (which

is quite sunny) but they contract quickly when we go outside. We had

a very in-depth eye exam and everything was fine. She had 7

thimerosal vaccines but looks like she'll be OK (unlike my youngest

daughter). Survived seizures, chronic sinusitus and inablity to walk

until three.
