Guest guest
Dana, I felt that way when I first came home, I thought my house smelled awful. I have a little dog and I was convinced he was peeping everywhere. Finally, it went away. But still my sense of smell is much more acute than before surgery. At least I have grown hair on my knuckles and giant unibrow, now that would really freak me out! Guest guest
I noticed enhanced smelling the 1st day I left the hospital.I got into the car & something made me EXTREMELY sick.I then found out it was my kids breath. They had been eating Salsa Verde Pringles at their grandmas house before they came to get me. I do smell dog pee all the time & my husband thinks I'm nuts.I too developed a super sense of smell while PG. I can detect cigarette smoke on my DH if he walks into a gas station where someone is smoking,if only for a quick minute.(I don't smoke) It is very odd! Guest guest
Poor kitty. You have some serious apologizing to do to your cat. LOL. Sometimes cats will pee in the house outside of the litterbox when they have a urinary tract infection. If you didn't see any puddles or spots, it's possible you were just sensitive to the litterbox smells. Guest guest
I don't recall experiencing the enhanced sense of smell at 2 months, but I could be wrong. Memories fade quickly. I had pushed my husband away a few times too because of smell. It can be a turn off; repulsive. Hopefully, their understanding and will get over it. My husband has been. I had stinky breath too especially during those first months during ketosis. Not too mention the stinky sweat smell during those first few months. I remember washing my hands all of the time because they were always moist with a stinky smell and I was applying deodorant every couple of hours. Its part of the body's way of excreting the bad. I still have problems with BBQ sauce and ketchup. They make me gag, which is weird before surgery I LOVED anything BBQ and I had French fries with my large side of ketchup!! WLS side effect Hmm. Well now I'm not one to back down from a challenge. I found a website on how to cook a cat. There's even recipes. It does go into detail on how to " prepare " the cat for cooking. It's quite graphic, complete with pictures. So click at your own peril. I'm not saying this is really my belief or anything. I have eaten some really strange things in my travels/life but cat isn't one of them. At least I don't think it was. Guest guest
I used to work with a lady from China, and she used to microwave pig feet for her lunch, hooves and all. The smell used to gross me out. Every culture is different. I am not very adventurous. Beef and chicken are enough for me. I used to like lamb, but can't stand the smell. Funny how we are raised to like certain meats. I sure wouldn't try rabbit, squirrel, monkey, cats, dogs, ducks, geese, deer... iguana... NOPE! Some people will eat anything. I don't even like fish. I always think of pet goldfish I had as a kid. We would just roll off our chairs in hysteria, because we knew how she would respond and were horrified by what she would eat!!!! just my sick two cents..
