Guest guest
Ellen: My dh said it is supposed to take a couple of hours. 2-3 by the time you are done, wake up in recovery etc. When you go in they will be happy to tell you. Good luck tomorrow you will be in my thoughts. Post-op 3/1/01 Dr. Thayer

Guest guest
Hi Ellen, The op is 90 minutes - 2 hours. Your DH will be given a beeper at the hosp (at least at NWH) which will beep when you are in recovery. The Dr. will tell him how you did and will tell him that you will be in recovery for roughly 2 hours and then he'll be able to see you. Good luck. My thoughts and prayers are with you. See you on the other side. > Ok I have a last minute question .. Appox how long does the surgery > take ? Guest guest
Ellen, Dr. Thayer said mine took longer than expected: 2 hours, 45 minutes. I've heard some are done in less than an hour and a half. - AA p00hma@... wrote: > > Ok I have a last minute question .. Appox how long does the surgery > take ? Guest guest
Welcome to the group! " Water check " is just a reminder we have in our group to drink more water. Weight Watchers recommends drinking a minimum of 6 8-oz glasses a day. You may count juice, milk, or any decafeinated beverages as 1/2 of your water consumption but you must include those points in your daily point range (water is 0 points). |--------+--------------------------> | | " luckycharmz154 " | | | <luckycharmz154@| | | yahoo.com> | | | | | | 06/21/2002 12:04| | | AM | | | Please respond | | | to wwliterside | | | | |--------+--------------------------> >-----------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: wwliterside | | cc: (bcc: -C /BRE/AGFA/US/BAYER) | | Subject: Question | >-----------------------------------------------------------| Umm im new and i am wondering what does water check mean?? ~There are no strangers here... Guest guest
Gosh, Zanna, you went cold turkey!!?!?! A friend's mom at work thought her doc meant her to stop the pred (another condition) and the woman nearly died...scary! How did you do just going off the pred? Hope you're doing well tonight...stay cool! Lynn mrsxanadu@... wrote: I am sorry I cannot help you with that question!! I could only guess that going down too fast could cause a flare. It makes sense, right?? I have never had the chance to do that. When I quit taking pred, I just quit taking it. No lectures please, that was a long time ago and I learned my lesson!!!! From what I have read though, you need to down like one mg. at a time after 10.Zanna
Guest guest
" Didnt think much of this at the time but it seems to be happening daily. School reports it happening during circletime. " Have you kept a log of what he's eating and when these drowsy and hyper times are occuring? Perhaps it's related to what he's eating. Maybe not. But is there a pattern to it? Like being sleeping 30 minutes after breakfast or being hyper 30 minutes after eating certain foods? Just trying to help you play " detective " . TIA You'd probably be best off eating beforehand. About the only thing that's SBD legal in a Chinese restaurant is steamed veggies.
Guest guest
Chinese is relatively healthy. Just ask them not to make with MSG (most places don't) and not to cook it with corn starch. Don't be afraid to ask them what oil to use either. See if they have whole wheat noodless. Egg drop soup is really good to eat a chinese restaurant. See if they have grilled chicken with lots of veggies. That would be a great thing to eat. Don't be afraid to ask them about nutrition facts. Most restaurants don't have this available though. If you go by those rules at a chinese restaurant you should be fine. > Ok this is probably a dumb question, but I thought I might ask > anyways.
